Is Prestatyn for sale or just TOiLET?

While Conservatives and Labour 'bicker' among themselves. The man or woman in the street is more interested in what is happening ON the High Street or the street out side their front door.

Apart from having a job to wake up to in the morning. The pleasant things in life like a clean street, free from litter, graffiti and dog fouling would be nice. Not to mention the price of your house going up because of its desirability in a pleasant area.

But even if you don't own your home. It would be nice to think our children will have the opportunity for an education that will work for them, the prospect of a job and maybe, just maybe a better future than the one we have.

Dear editor, please could I answer “Misled all the way” from the Conservatives in today's Journal (28th January 2008)

Well, what an appropriate title. Not only are we the votes 'treated' to more bickering from the Conservatives about Labour and vica versa. But it seems the saying “Lies, dam lies and statistics,” rule the day.

While it is true that Conservatives don't hold a majority in Denbighshire County. A point the Conservatives them selves bemoaned not having control of. They do have control of Prestatyn Town Council (even if Cllr June Cahill has resigned from Town Council) So I ask if one town is 'to much' to handle aren't we glad one individual group (no matter who they are) don't get to have their say on everything that effects our lives.

As for Denbighshire County councillors Expenses see this link:-

I was amused at Cllr M.L.Davies claim of £1.70 under Subsistence. I'm sure if you trawl through the information you could keep yourself amused.

On the positive side. I'm sure I'm positive that Prestatyn will be paying the £1,000,000 loan for the SCALA for the next 26 years, I'm positive the £113,000 art could have been better utilised. I'm positive that £350,000 for third phase of Central Beach, plus £5,000 Prestatyn Town council overhaul of Offa's Tourist Information, plus the new street lighting, Central Beach Play Ares, Crazy Golf railings and general all the other bits to add up to another £1,000,000 plus could have positively been used to keep some of the businesses open in Prestatyn High Street.

But on a real positive side I did note two businesses in Prestatyn High street are fighting back and reopened. If under new names.

GARY ALEXANDER BOURNE, 14 LON EIRLYS, PRESTATYN, DENBIGHSHIRE LL19 9JZ TEL:- (01745) 851985 http://www.freewebs.com/clubteen/ http://www.freewebs.com/mrgabourne/ http://mrgabourne.synthasite.com/

Just an update the £1,000,000 that Prestatyn Town Council and presumably voted for by the Conservatives as they gave the majority of seats. Is actually £1,100,000 million. Sorry about that, but what's £100,000 when YOU are going to be paying for it for the next 26 years. Shame then that Prestatyn doesn't actually own, one orange seat, yellow tile or red ticket. As the £1,100,000 was actually given to the Limited Company running it.

Add another £8000 since writing for a new kitchen (just hope they didn't go to MFI)

Ask Conservative Councillor Julian Thompson-Hill as he's involved. Just not in a council meeting as he has to keep being 'excused.'

Of cause BOURNE would be a better bet. Look up THE SCALA PRESTATYN COMPANY LTD (it's official name) on:-

http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/ShowCharity/RegisterOfCharities/CharityFramework.aspx?RegisteredCharityNumber=1125284&SubsidiaryNumber=0

Keep an eye on this as EVENTUALY it will tell you the accounts of the SCALA and if it is making a profit or not.

By the way you might be interested in the SCALA'S Charitable objects:-
